Welcome to the “Lot and Lots of Lightbulbs” online workshop
About this Workshop
In this interactive workshop we will talk about where the energy which powers our lights comes from, and why some light bulbs waste lots of energy. We'll explain different materials used to make light bulbs and think about which ones waste least energy and why. Finally, we'll help you make a special spinning toy, which will let you explore how energy is wasted in your home, with help from your grownup!
The workshop is aimed at children aged 4 – 7+. It consists of 6 short videos, each of which ends with a small activity to do before the start of the next video. It is intended to be enjoyed by children with adult supervision. You can watch all of the videos in quick succession or spread them out over more time if you prefer.
