Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride

The new state of the art scanning electron microscope purpose built for maximum cathodoluminescence efficiency from Attolight has arrived! This microscope was funded by a strategic equipment grant from EPSRC. The microscope comes with a pulsed electron gun, allowing us to study the evolution of luminescence properties in the pico second (10-12 s) regime. The microscope is able to reach 10 Kelvin, further enhancing our characterisation possibilities. This combination of spatial, temporal and energy resolution provides amazing opportunities for fascinating new research approaches.

Please contact Dr Gunnar Kusch if you are interested in more details.
