Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride

Rachel received her professorship!

Dr Rachel Oliver has been promoted to Professor with effect from October 1st 2018! Rachel has been supervising students and leading research in the GaN group for several years and we are delighted to see this recognition of her efforts.

Rachel has been working in the Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride for about 15 years. In these years, she has helped us with her comprehensive knowledge in Materials Science, acute insight on research directions and diligent working attitude. With over 250 publications, she is a prolific researcher, contributing a great deal to the broader GaN community.

Rachel has always been keen to collaborate widely and to use her experience to benefit other researchers. After Prof. Sir Colin Humphreys retired from the GaN Centre, we are very pleased to have a new professor leading us. We believe that the group will go from strength to strength under her leadership and with her new position!
