Professor Rachel Oliver has been named one of the Women in Engineering Society's Top 50 Women in Engineering 2020.

This year's awards focus on women working in sustainability, and Rachel is being recognised for her work on sustainable lighting based on nitride light emitting diodes (LEDs).  In particular, Rachel is proud to be a founder of PoroTech (https://porotech.co.uk/) who are developing novel porous nitride materials to improve the efficiency of nitride LEDs and other devices.
