As part of a recent visit to the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy by Sixth Formers from The Knights' Templar School in Baldock, we gave an interactive presentation entitled "Communication using Light", which focused on new approaches which might be enabled by gallium nitride, including visible light communication or "LiFi". We had fun with lasers, tennis balls and other toys!
