Cambridge Centre for Gallium Nitride

Crazy about colour!

We have recently taken our newly developed workshop on colour to two Cambridgeshire Primary Schools, Fen Drayton and Fawcett Primary in Trumpington. As you can see we all had a lot of fun!

Crazy About Colour teaches children about the nature of colour and light. We saw how white light can be split up to make a rainbow and how dark inks are made up of several different colours, which can be separated to make chromatography butterflies.

We are in the process of developing some of our workshops (including this one) into downloadable resources. If you would like to be kept informed on this or other aspects of our science outreach work please email .
